My one connection: Arclet

I build Arclet, a Mac app that controls earbuds. A good review of a pair Arclet supports could, in principle, help the app. To keep that visible:

  • Every guide that mentions Arclet carries a maker's note at the top, saying that I make the app and whether it supports the pair.
  • The verdict comes before the app. Whether Arclet supports a pair never changes my verdict, and a pair doesn't get a better review for being supported.
  • Arclet is not affiliated with any earbud brand. The notice below applies everywhere on this site.

Arclet is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shokz. Shokz and OpenDots are trademarks of their respective owners. I use these names only to show which hardware Arclet works with. Arclet works with earbuds you already own. It ships no vendor code and never touches the firmware or OTA update path.

No paid influence

I buy every pair at retail and take no review units, affiliate commissions, ads or sponsorships. The details are in how I get the pairs.

Sources and research

  • My own findings come from living with the pair, and the guide says how I tested.
  • Other reviewers' findings are marked "From research" and credited by name. I report what they measured; I don't present it as my own.
  • Where I disagree with reviewers, the guide says so in its own section.

Owner reports

Owners can answer the claims a guide makes ("Same for me", "Not for me", "Haven't checked"). Their answers are shown as they are. I don't edit, filter or reweight them, except to pause a count during an unusual burst of answers, which the page then says.
