Community rules

The discussions under the guides are for owners, and people about to become owners, comparing notes. A few rules keep them useful.

What's welcome

  • Your own experience with the pair: what holds up, what broke, how it fits your ears and your phone.
  • Disagreement, including with me. If a guide got something wrong, say so. Fixes are listed on the corrections page.
  • Links that help: a measurement, a firmware note, a manual.

What isn't

  • Insults, harassment, or anything aimed at a person rather than at what they said.
  • Spam, ads, referral or affiliate links, and posts written for a brand.
  • Personal information about anyone, yourself included.
  • Anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to post.
  • Threads that wander off the pair and what readers need to choose one.

How it works

  • Your first comment waits for me. Once I've approved one, your comments post straight away.
  • Members can report a comment. It comes to me. If several members report it, it's hidden until I've looked.
  • I may remove a comment that breaks these rules, and limit a member: then everything they write waits for me first.
  • You can edit a comment for 15 minutes, and delete your own at any time, from the guide or your account page.
  • A pinned comment is one I think readers should see first. It isn't an endorsement of a pair or of the person who wrote it.
  • No incentives. Nobody is paid or rewarded for commenting, and brands don't get to post as owners.
